Cristhian Mosquera, César Tárrega, Javi Guerra and Diego López target victory against Italy
Spain U21 have already sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship after back-to-back wins against hosts Slovakia and Romania. Their final Group A match, against Italy this Tuesday at 21:00 CEST, will decide who finishes top.
The four Valencia CF players in the squad — Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra, César Tárrega and Diego López — have all played key roles in the group stage of this prestigious international tournament. Against Slovakia, Tárrega netted the winning goal and was named Player of the Match, Diego López provided the assist for the opener, while Mosquera and Guerra were both involved in Spain’s third goal. In the win over Romania, all four started again, with Javi Guerra named MVP and Mosquera assisting the first goal.

Spain now face an Italy side who also won both their matches against Romania and Slovakia, with the top spot in Group A on the line.
